Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING
At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), we support critical defense and aerospace missions worldwide, delivering cutting-edge technology and innovation. Our Subcontract Management organization functions as the cornerstone of supply chain excellence, ensuring that the work we do is underpinned by fair, transparent, and efficient cost management practices. As part of our commitment to excellence, our Price Cost Analysts (PCA) help drive the success of numerous programs across multiple product lines by performing critical cost and price analysis of supplier proposals, in alignment with federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
THE WORK
As a Price Cost Analyst within our Center of Excellence (COE), you will play a vital role in evaluating certified proposals submitted by subcontractors and suppliers. Your work will involve detailed analysis of cost elements such as direct materials and labor hours, auditing direct and indirect rates, and making determinations regarding fair and reasonable pricing. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Subcontract Management, Engineering, Material Cost Estimating teams, and government agencies, to produce thorough written reports that inform decisions and contribute to prime proposal submissions.
In addition to your analysis, you will provide support during price negotiations, ensuring alignment between Lockheed Martin and its subcontractors/suppliers. Occasionally, you may be called upon to support audits and field inquiries from government customers regarding your findings. Your expertise will also contribute to organizational initiatives, including process improvement and cost-estimating advancements. The role involves a mix of independent work and collaboration, both virtually and on-site.
