Job Title: Pricing Analyst
Job Description:
Sumaria Systems, LLC is a successful defense contractor in business for 40+ years. The Pricing Analyst functions in a fast paced proposal environment and works closely with the program/proposal team members developing cost proposals for technical and advisory support work, while ensuring compliance and schedule adherence. Duties entail preparation of new business and follow-on cost proposals for IDIQs and task/delivery orders of various contract types.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Pricing Manager, the Pricing Analyst develops and prepares cost/price proposals
Review Requests for Proposal (RFP) requirements to include: identifying questions to review with the Proposal Team to include unique requirements
Prepare Cost Volume supporting data (i.e., Detailed Pricing Spreadsheets, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Subcontractor Price Analysis, etc.) for internal review by the Pricing Manager
Develop complex and detailed cost models in response to RFP requirements
Attend proposal pricing meetings, to include the preparation of cost review packages to be presented to leadership
Work with the proposal team to prepare accurate cost/price proposals
Review adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Sumaria policies and procedures with regard to cost proposal preparation
Compose potential discriminators for Sumaria pursuits; identify customer hot buttons, transcribe into proposal documents as needed
Conduct market research, such as opportunities in the Government marketplace, internet searches, etc.; assists in the identification of new business opportunities
Support audit requests, fact-finding, and negotiation discussions
Support other departmental functions, as needed
Required Skills/Education:
Experience working with a Federal Government Contractor
Knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and government acquisition process
Experience working with, and pricing, various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, etc.)
Strong analytical, problem solving, math skills, and general finance acumen
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience with GovWin (a Deltek product) or BGov (a Bloomberg product) highly desired
Experience with salary survey tools (ERI, Salary.com) highly desired
Possess strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with a variety of stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
US Citizenship required
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
Years of Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
Travel: 5% of the time
