Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst evaluates competitive feedback and market trends to provide system pricing for their assigned sales territory that achieves company profitability and sales goals. The analyst owns all price maintenance within SAP for their territory. Leverage analytics tools to drive informed pricing decisions. Communicates with supplier representatives to obtain competitive cost structure on third party items.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for:
Analyze pricing requests and offer competitive pricing based upon knowledge of costs, availability, competitor pricing, roofing systems/assemblies and overall targeted company margin thresholds. Load and maintain pricing and pricing discounts in SAP. Maintain internal and external price lists. Enter and maintain job quotes in SAP Calculate margin impact on price deviations based on all applicable variables including but not limited to material cost, freight, customer rebates, and commissions. Analyze and maintain pricing structure and list price strategy based on market trends, industry conditions, competitive positioning, and long-term profit targets. Monitor pricing on specialty products based on market trends and costs, reviewing margins on a regular basis Negotiates with suppliers to procure competitive costs, availability, and quality of products. Maintain strong relationships with customer service, regional managers, and sales representatives Communicates with Sales and Marketing managers to obtain regional feedback of competitive situations and general market information. Develop knowledge of pricing software and leverage analytics & guidance applications to drive proactive pricing decisions Exercise good judgement and decision-making when balancing the needs of the customer and the business. Understand and address issues raised by customer service on price discrepancies in SAP. Maintain pricing on open orders by reviewing open order reports or audits to ensure pricing is up to date and valid Enters credits against invoice pricing issues and project rebates. Creates spreadsheets to effectively show competitive pricing structures.Education & Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred Equivalency: Minimum five years customer service or three years sales / technical field experience
