Data and analytics play a pivotal role in Credit Karma’s mission and every part of our business – informing new product design, driving marketing efficiency, and powering the recommendations we personalize to each of our over 140 million members.
We’re seeking a driven, results-oriented, problem solver to join the Partnerships Analytics & Pricing team to support our Pricing function. In this role, you will use your analytical and strategic experience to create data-driven business recommendations and to help manage our regular Pricing reviews for some of our largest impact verticals (Credit Cards, Personal Loans, etc). Rigorous Pricing allows us to continue offering a robust marketplace full of competitive offers for our members and allows Credit Karma to continue investing in the products and experiences that allow us to grow our business. This role has high visibility to leaders across our business and is the perfect fit for a strong analyst who wants a high-degree of ownership over a complicated and rigorous pricing process.
What you’ll do:
Leverage internal and external data to develop business recommendations that generate value for Credit Karma and our partners Conduct analyses of the macroeconomic consumer finance environment, financial institution performance, and competitive dynamics to understand and identify trends that can impact our business Manage our PV and customer value analytical frameworks Propose data-driven recommendations to change our Pricing rate card and identify opportunities to evolve our discount framework to benefit our partners Work with a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders (Business Development, Pricing Operations, Business Intelligence, Legal, etc.) to identify and implement changes to our Pricing framework Develop learning agendas and test plans to support agile, data-driven decision-making Perform exploratory analysis to generate hypotheses, identify gaps, and size opportunities for new product features or partner strategies Unlike some analytics functions, you are not a service provider. You’re a thought leader to the business, owning end-to-end analytic work streams, defining success and performance metrics, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations for cross functional groups and partnersWhat’s great about the role:
You will have high visibility and exposure within the company, by partnering with and presenting to senior stakeholders on critical business problems that have a direct impact to our revenue Pricing provides valuable leverage to Credit Karma’s business as we look to sustain our recent growth, invest in our products & member experiences, and optimize our partners’ performance on our platform Through Credit Karma’s exposure to our 130+ million members and many of the largest financial institutions in the US, you will be able to build a truly horizontal perspective of the Credit Cards & Personal Loans industry and consumer finance more broadly You will work across all of our business units that have financial institution and lending partners, enabling you to have a broad and unique perspective across large parts of the businessMinimum Basic Requirement:
2-4 years of analytics experience and BS/MS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, or Finance 2+ years of experience with SQL 2+ years of experience with A/B testing and/or statistical analysis 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker/Tableau for insight synthesis and presentation Familiarity with consumer finance concepts, including credit products, personal finance behaviors, credit scoring, and pricing dynamicsPreferred Qualifications:
