**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Austin, TX location in the Neuromodulation division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
the Contracts and Pricing Analyst will help Abbott meet its revenue objectives through day-to-day administration and implementation of Pricing and Contract Strategy. This position will also play a key role on various cross-functional team projects that will require the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Pricing analysis, P&L impact, pricing strategy development and decision making.
+ Product purchase contract development and execution.
+ Customer-service oriented mind frame and skill sets to support the field sales team and their price/contract needs.
+ Supports the Contract Manager with the development and implementation of price approvals / financial impact analysis and contract creation / maintenance. Works within audit guidelines for contract approval and contract creation.
+ Must have well-honed sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
+ Works directly with field sales and assists with deal evaluation and creation of analytical deliverables.
+ Assists with training field sales, typically on a day-to-day, deal-to-deal basis, on tools, policies, and procedures.
+ Perform quantitative analysis and provide recommendations and consultative support to area and regional Sales Leaders to achieve desired goals.
+ Execute analysis of net contract sales, market share, and contract pricing within USD.
+ Owns contract creation from development to execution – collaborative effort with sales team to define price needs, analysis to determine financial impact, execution of required internal review for price approval, documentation of proper approval, and final creation of outbound contract offering to end customer.
+ Review and redline business contract terms, coordinating with internal stakeholders on customer redline contract edits. When applicable, vet extended terms through other departments including IP legal, privacy, OEC, legal, technical services, cybersecurity, finance, risk management and customer service. Must be able to appropriately determine the correct department for review, clearly and concisely explain customer requests and associated risks, then incorporate responses into contractual terms.
+ Execution of formal requests for proposals (RFPs) that may be needed in the of customer-specific contract templates and special formatting and information required of the RFP.
+ Perform comparisons to industry/company benchmarks to identify contracting opportunities and best practices.
+ Understand contractual obligations and subsequent impacts on various contracting processes and products.
+ Work within guidelines for contract approvals, pricing approvals, and contract creation. Seeking approvals when outside of established guidelines.
+ Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to arrive at a viable solution when challenged with complex situations and customer requests.
+ Provides reports and analysis to department and senior management as requested.
+ Along with business operations partners, execute improvement programs to streamline the flow of various system operations.
+ Follows all management approved processes and procedures; alerts management when circumstances require deviation to the approved processes and procedures.
+ Must be able to work in a team environment and with diverse workstyles.
+ Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
+ Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Associates Degree
+ Minimum 1+ year of experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
+ 2+ years’ experience in business, financial, or strategic pricing analysis
+ Proficient with mathematical modeling and demonstrated ability to quickly identify relevant details while working with large date sets.
+ Familiar with reading, writing, revising, and interpreting legal language.
+ Proficient managing multiple projects simultaneously: organization, attention to detail, ability to work under general supervision, superior communication and presentation skills, deal with unresolved issues, and effectively communicating and maintaining rapport with Sales Representatives and Managers, National and Strategic Account Management, and all levels of personnel cross functionally.
+ Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI and Salesforce.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Knowledge of market trends and competitive pricing strategies
+ Familiarity with contract law

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
