Pricing Manager
The Role: If managing pricing, maximizing gross profit and staying competitive is “your thing”, we have the perfect opportunity for you at NAPA as a Custom Pricing Manager. This integral role on our awesome headquarters Pricing Team plays a huge part in making sure that competitive and custom pricing is in place so that we can be successful and serve our customers! This fantastic role will report to a highly supportive Senior Director of Pricing.

This Role may be for you if you:

Have at least 2 years of Strategic Pricing ExperienceHave familiarity and comfort level with BI tools such as Qlik, AlteryxThrive off of ensuring that correct pricing is in place for a competitive edgeHave super strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsLove operating in an environment that is fast paced and always concentrating on sense of urgency

As a Manager of Custom Pricing, a typical day might include the following:

Proactively seek revenue and margin opportunities for field operations based on learnings from others, use of BI tools, reporting and other data inputsHelp assigned store groups to grow revenue and margin dollarsEnsure rational, fact-based decisions about discountingDevelop an ongoing 2-way exchange of information with Pricing Analysts and Product Managers, helping both departments work toward building the best offering for our customersEngage immediately and fully with new stores and changeovers, which seldom allow much time for preparation, to ensure customers are priced appropriately from day oneDevelop a strong business relationship with field leadership for assigned operationsEnsure each field operation engages the correct pricing strategy, where options existProvide field mgmt. feedback on price overrides and assist them in eliminating or reigning-in potential discounting abuse in the storesAddress all field requests for pricing changes within 24 hours, always seeking a way to accommodate the business’ intentionsPerform monthly automation-assisted, strategic pricing reviews such that every account is reviewed twice annually, while communicating changes to field mgmtProvide line/customer insight monthly to field managers about at-risk discounts

What else you’ll need: 

Microsoft Office with high Excel proficiency.Willing to travel several times per year
