Position: Pricing & RFQ Senior Analyst

Job Description:

Forward Air/Omni Logistics is seeking a skilled and motivated Pricing & RFQ Senior Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing rate requests, negotiating with vendors, airlines, carriers, co-loaders, and third parties, and supporting the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process for our Miami warehouse, gateway, and LATAM and NAM branches. You will leverage your knowledge of ocean, air, and intermodal logistics processes to provide competitive rates, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to the overall pricing strategy of our organization.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Request and negotiate rates with the vendors, airlines, carriers, co-loaders and third parties to support the RFQ NAM team, and the spot quotes related to our MIA warehouse, gateway and our LATAM and NAM branches Provide rates to the customer with deeply knowledge of ocean, air and intermodal logistics processes Complete requests per US organizational pricing strategies under the guidance of US RFQ/Pricing Management Answer all pricing quote requests from and to MIA (EXW, FCA, DDP, DAP, CIP, CPT...) in a timely manner Ensure client satisfaction by consistently responding to emails from clients and agents partners with professionalism and punctuality Insert the monthly rates of the contracts in the system or in monthly spreadsheets provided to the customer, as needed Communicate and educate customers & agent partners about the USA rules and internal documentation Strategic thinking, sense of responsibility, risk management and time management Good practice of using internal tools and systems for quotes Assist the upper management on building and maintaining strong relationships with air, ocean and trucking products, negotiating favorable rates Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, procurement, operations, and other local pricings, to review RFQ proposals that meet customer requirements Follow up of RFQ as needed and communicate the positive or negative serving as guidance for improvement Analyze the Global BID requests, request rates and compile them into a rate card, portal or spreadsheet

Qualifications:

3+ years of Pricing and RFQ experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience driving rate map strategy Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders Experience Spot/ BIDs/Tenders Global (General Cargo, DG, Temp Control, AOG) Microsoft Excel proficiency Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent written & verbal communication in English Team-player capable of working in a team-orientated Positive environment driven, proactive and detailed-oriented
