Primary Care Physician - Med-Peds in Chillicothe, IL
Overview JOB SPECIFICS OSF Medical Group in Chillicothe combines the charm of a small-town practice with the extensive resources of a large clinic, conveniently located near the vibrant metro area of Peoria, IL. This is an outpatient only position in a clinic of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics trained Physicians plus a number of Advanced Practice Providers. The Physicians in this group enjoy a close relationship with the Peoria UIC combined Med-Peds Residency and most are involved in teaching Residents in the clinic. This is an ideal opportunity for a Physician with a passion for teaching. Minimal call and no inpatient responsibilities: in-patients are covered by our employed hospitalist group. Call is triaged by the nurse call center and only 1 weekend every 2 months by phone. Established patient panel with opportunity for growth Team-based care model with each physician having their own roomer Practice in a newly built, beautifully designed, and functional, well equipped medical facility which includes x-ray, lab and physical therapy as well as counseling and social work. Seeking a full-time Physician, 4.5 days per week in the clinic, with a half day each week of protected admin time. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
