Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy sessions that address patient needs, facilitate self-disclosure, and promote insight into personal issues, using effective interventions and experiential techniques
- Work closely with the Treatment Team to develop, review, and update personalized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives
- Conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments, gather diagnostic information, and present findings clearly to inform treatment planning
- Assist patients in preparing for post-discharge by developing a supportive discharge plan and connecting them with internal and external resources
- Communicate with families, referral sources, and other service providers, ensuring accurate, timely, and secure documentation of patient progress in clinical records
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Knowledge of corporate integrity and ethics policies related to a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with emergency procedures for overdoses and knowledge of relevant federal, state, and municipal laws, including patient rights and professional ethics
- Strong problem-solving, stress management, and team-building skills; adaptable to schedule changes and additional responsibilities as needed
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Licensure (or intern license) in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or as a Certified Addiction Professional in the appropriate state
- Efficient verbal, written, and observational skills for effective patient interaction and accurate record-keeping
- Familiarity with state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality, especially in addiction and mental health treatment
- In-depth knowledge of addiction?s physical, emotional, and social impact on individuals and families, and familiarity with the 12-Step Recovery Program
- Current certification with the ability to respond to medical and overdose emergencies appropriately
