Prime Services Trading – Electronic Trader - EMEA, Assitant Vice President, Onsite

This structure can reduce counterparty risk, offers additional transparency, and provides more control over assets. The result is a more efficient and cost-effective way to manage alternative investment strategies. Prime Services has been in business for over fifteen years, has a global client base, continues to experience exponential growth, and is currently one of the fastest growing products within State Street. We are looking for a electronic trader in London to help us manage the existing book of business and grow our share in a competitive market landscape.

What you will be responsible for
As a trader in the prime services trading team – EMEA, you will:
Develop and maintain strong and diverse borrower relationships to ensure State Street is their primary partner.Borrow and lend securities to cover and manage clients’ short positions.Support the automation of trading processes by coding and algorithmic strategies, improving efficiency and scalability.Design and maintain advanced data analytics dashboards, leveraging tools like Python, SQL, or Qlikview to present real-time trading insights and help inform trading decisions.Provide daily color on hard to borrow securities and special situations to portfolio managers, analysts, execution traders, and treasury personnel.Financial resource optimization and risk management to drive returns.Work closely with partner teams in Sales, Client Management, and Product Development to deliver an exceptional product experience for our clients.What we value

Superior problem solving, analytical, and technical skills ·Experience working in fast-paced, front-office financial markets environment; deeply engaged and comfortable with the markets and trading.Strong skills in modeling and programming - Experience programing in procedural/object oriented and/or scripting languages: Python (preferred).Ability to build dashboards using large datasets to identify themes and present talking points to clients and counterparts will be a distinct advantage.Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with business leaders and technical teams alike.Extremely flexible with a “do anything mentality” creative and willing to challenge current paradigms.Education & Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Securities Finance trading.Self-starter, motivated by making the entire team successful.Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Math’s, or Statistics preferred.Are you the right candidate?
