The Primer Leader Fellowship Program
The Primer Leader Fellowship is a program designed to help you launch your own Primer microschool. You’ll join other educators around the country working to bring a world-class education to their community.
Think of the Fellowship like a lightweight evening MBA — you’ll be expected to attend weekly live (virtual) programming and work towards key milestones related to launching your Primer. You’ll be expected to dedicate around 5 hours per week, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
The best part? You’ll incur zero costs to launch your Primer and you’ll get paid to participate and launch your microschool. It all culminates in June of 2025 when you’ll transition to a full-time leader of your Primer and prepare for your inaugural students to join in August 2025 for the ‘25-’26 school year.
Key Responsibilities
Source a Campus: Identify and secure a suitable location in your community. And remember, we just need your help with sourcing the location! We’ll take care of signing the lease, paying rent, sprucing it up, and all regulatory approvals. Recruit Students: Recruit and enroll the first 15 students for your microschool with the support of Primer’s marketing campaigns and resources. Learn our playbook: You’ll be given and learn everything you need to launch your own Primer microschool, including our curriculum, our proprietary software, marketing materials, and more.Who you are
You have commitment to working full-time to operate your microschool in Fall 2025. You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited university. You have experience working with kids (active teaching status is not required). You’re located anywhere in Arizona, Alabama, or Florida. You’re well-connected to your community. You know where you could easily source a location and students for your microschool. You have an entrepreneurial spark, you’re an organized self-starter, and you’re ready to fix the K-12 education system.Salary
As a part of the Fellowship, you’ll receive a monthly stipend of $500. After the Fellowship concludes and your microschool is ready to launch, you’ll earn a competitive full-time salary (between $60k/yr and $75k/yr depending on your geography) with great benefits, economic upside in your microschool, and additional earning opportunities from $10k-$25k.
