We’re looking for a Principle, Business HR, Athlete initiatives EMEA

The Principle, Business HR, Athlete initiatives EMEA serves as a trusted, strategic advisor and thought leader to the Nike Retail field function and Retail field LT, providing counsel to enhance their growth and impact to advance NIKE’s vision, mission and objectives. The person collaborates closely with the business (GEO & Global), Global BHR, COEs, and People Solutions to integrate and implement HR People and Talent (pipeline) Strategies. In addition, this person is responsible for end-to-end program design of Athlete (store employee) initiatives in alignment with peer GEO BHR teams to ensure consistent teammate experiences and enterprise outcomes.
Within the role you anticipate business opportunities, partner closely with business leadership and capture Global insights to influence Business, People, and Talent strategies. You operate at a unique intersection of strategy, organization, and talent, providing the nuanced HR leadership and consultation required to elevate support to the business and the teammate experience.
The role reports directly to Dir. Business HR EMEA Marketplace Stores. The role partners closely across the EMEA HR Marketplace team.The candidate needs to have (top traits) and (top skills)

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with the Retail field leadership team as their trusted HRBP on all key strategic HR initiatives such as:

People Strategy: You will adopt and localize the Global Function’s People Strategy and Annual Plan - in partnership with GEO Business leadership - to best serve the GEO Business Strategy, accounting for Global Business Strategies and GEO Business Plans. Intent is to bring it all to life by supporting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy to motivate teammates to action. You regularly measure, assess progress, and support in adjusting planning to drive intended outcomes. Serve insights back to global and Geo HR leadership for greater integration.

Athlete (store employee) Initiatives: You will design end to end programs which serves the athlete in the field (store employees) and are business relevant. You will work in close partnership with People Solutions, COE’s and global peers to ensure these programs are aligned to NIKE’s global programs and vision, are operationally feasible and implemented in a timely manner.

Talent: You will implement the Global retail strategic workforce plan within the GEO in partnership with GEO Business. Ensure Retail talent strategies are adopted and fit unique GEO needs. Collaborate with Global Retail BHR on talent planning, movement, and succession planning. In partnership with GEO business leaders, drive accountability and ownership for knowing talent, managing performance, and providing development.

Leadership Team Effectiveness & Executive Coaching: You will coach business leaders and leadership teams to support their development, optimize ways of working, and build team effectiveness. You will partner with Functional leader(s) to gather insights, identify leadership team effectiveness opportunities, create plans and monitor progress.

Culture of Belonging: You own and partner with functional leaders to build a distinctive and uniquely-Nike culture, integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion so Nike continues to be a workplace where our teammates feel they belong with a strong focus on the Retail field. Using insights from listening on how retail teammates experience the culture, develop strategies and action plans to drive engagement and belonging.

OD/OE: With deep understanding of business opportunities, you will continuously assess organizational design and operating models to evolve and deliver business strategies and capabilities. You evaluate GEO org effectiveness, identify opportunities, and develop OD/OE strategy and action plan in partnership with Functional leadership, GEO leadership, and (Global) Function BHR LT. Support OD/OE efforts as part of organization hygiene or in service of larger Transformational initiatives.

Key experience and education

Relevant working experience preferably in HR

Experience in working in close partnership with senior business leaders

Retail experience is preferred

Experience in leading large transformations is preferred
