Description AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The SMGS AWS Partner Organization (APO) Enablement Shared Services (ESS) organization was formed January 1, 2024 with the mission to deliver long term revenue growth for AWS teams, our partners and their customers by applying knowledge, skills, tools, and resources through scalable mechanisms. Here's your chance to join our ESS team working in the highly visible role of Global Strategic VMware Partner Enablement Manager. This is a new function. In this role you will support a broad team stakeholders across AWS as they identify, manage, and execute some of the largest, most complex and high impact partner opportunities during the pursuit and solution stages. This role provides the exciting opportunity to help define and deliver on our strategy to accelerate adoption of AWS cloud computing services through our Partner segments and their customers globally. As a global leader, you will own creating and delivering initiative enablement, initiative governance and strategy for partner related VMware enablement across AWS strategic initiatives. This is an individual contributor role. This role will also be responsible for articulating the value proposition for internal and external audience of why partners should invest and execute in the initiative. The successful candidate has experience building sales, technical and leadership AWS practices by providing trusted business and technical support to achieve their learning needs. In addition, you have the initiative to complete complex tasks and projects on-time and autonomously, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, switch gears at a moment's notice, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. Key job responsibilities • Further develop the initiative programs with focus adoption and revenue growth. • Define and drive enablement initiative goals around creating, delivering and impact of internal and external enablement. • Demonstrate experience in developing programmatic approaches for global scaling, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias, a deep understanding of Solution Providers and Channel business • Support the AWS Strategic Initiatives Team and their focus around Enterprise Transformation and Business Innovation by identifying skill gaps and addressing them in collaboration with the Global Stakeholders • Work with the AWS Strategic Initiatives Team to define, develop, and execute strategic, programmatic and scalable training plans across partners to enable them to be successful across Strategic Initiatives aimed at establishing AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform. • Collaborate with various teams to ensure that the Partner field sales organizations are rightly skilled to engage with channels, end customers and AWS to create and drive AWS revenue opportunities • Evaluate effectiveness and propose adjustments to training plans delivered to improve performance and ensure partner and AWS joint initiative objectives are met. • Proactively collaborate with the AWS Partner Organization and capture requirements that can be developed into scalable training programs or courses. • Analytical capability to understand key trends across the partner community. Working with the partner leaders in regions to establish initiative training roadmaps and curriculum that will help drive AWS and partner joint metrics. • Use data analytics and reporting to make business decisions and coordinate schedules for manage event planning, working closely with partner teams. • Gain a comprehensive knowledge of AWS Strategic Initiatives programs, course roadmap, funding programs, Partner programs, and course objective/overview to be a trusted advisor to the AWS Strategic Initiatives team. • Prepare and give business reviews to senior management teams regarding progress and roadblocks of the various plans and programs underway. • Drive and manage complex stakeholder interlock. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience - 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience - 7+ years of professional or military experience - Experience writing technical articles, speaking at technology conferences, and contributing to open source - Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope Preferred Qualifications - Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale - Experience interfacing with customers (Enterprise, SMB, and Startups) and ability to convert customer requirements to high level architecture solutions to build on Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
