About the Team:
Marketplace Engineering team is well rounded passionate engineering org focused on all aspects of Seller with sharp focus on Engineering and operational excellence. This role works closely with Engineering Managers, Lead engineers, SRE, TechOps and leaders across the org to lead Engineering Excellence & Developer Productivity by working side by side with engineering teams. You will need to focus on creating a working model with a few teams and expand that to entire organization to inculcate Quality first, fail fast mindset that relies on automation and leverage.
What you'll do:
· Identify, develop and execute opportunities to raise the bar on engineering & operational excellence.
· Providing thought leadership and defining strategy on developer productivity.
· Partner with Platform teams and with engineering teams to drive adoption of CI/CD tools and processes.
· Establish and align clear measurable goals to reduce incidents, drive accountability and overall operational excellence.
· Championing Engineering and Operational excellence goals for the org, align with broader org to bring learnings and best practices to teams.
· Champion architecture initiatives to increase platform resiliency for complex business processes.
· Being single point of contact in driving cloud optimizations in partnership with SRE team.
· Being bold and taking calculated risks.
· Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS industry with hands on experience with public or private cloud offerings.
What you’ll bring:
· 10+ years' experience in leading engineering teams, Engineering Excellence, and/or Developer Productivity initiatives.
· Experience with public cloud (Azure/GCP) and private cloud.
· Well versed in architecture disciplines and executed in developing high performance, large scalable, and resilient enterprise systems.
· Proven track record of driving test automation to single click deployments.
· Java experience with SQL. NoSQL, Messaging, Queuing, Caching.
· Strong experience with Networking concepts, Security, CDNs, Cloud Services (Azure and GCP preferred), DevOps, Kubernetes.
· Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting best practices and tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk highly desirable.
· Go getter approach to problem solving to work across organizations.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
