Note: Our Therapeutic Day School has an Extended School Year (ESY)

PURPOSE:
To provide effective leadership in an educational capacity for the development and implementation of student academic experiences and instructional programs. Spearhead quality improvement and growth initiatives as it relates to therapeutic education for students who have autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be performed. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein is such duties are a logical assignment to the position.
1. Spearhead program quality improvement and growth initiatives as it relates to therapeutic education for students who have autism,                 intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes, but not limited to, researching evidence-based practices in curriculum                      instruction and skill-acquisition, conducting programmatic market analyses of community educational needs for youth up to 21-years of           age.
2. Oversee day-to-day operations within the ChildBridge Center for Education.
3. Supervision of the Teachers, Assistant Principal, and Clinical Coordinator of the ChildBridge Center for Education.
4. Collaborate and coordinate with the Director of the children’s residential program to integrate the classroom and home environments’             services and supports  for students, including enhancing students’ continuity of care between both environments.
5. Develop financial budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and make fiscally sound decisions that improve program impact and financial      sustainability.
6. Actively seek out professional developments and evidence-based practices that can be added to programmatic offerings within the                ChildBridge Center for Education.
7. Lead programmatic development in collaboration with school and agency leadership.
8. Participate in the development of strategic planning and expansion of school programming.
9. Participates in planning and directing building maintenance.
10. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student educational needs are met.
11. Act as liaison with parent and community groups partnering with the ChildBridge Center for Education.
12. Coordinate, collaborate and maintain, efforts with partner school districts to ensure student educational and IEP needs are met.
13. Collaborate and interact with public school districts to expand the ChildBridge Center for Education community partnerships.
14. Participate in recruitment efforts of new students.
15. Provide school tours and attend student recruiting events.
16. Collaborate on admissions to the ChildBridge Center for Education.
17. Develop partnerships with outside agencies with beneficial practices for the ChildBridge Center for Education
18. Coordinate and collaborate efforts with other Little City departments to ensure student educational and IEP needs are met.
19. Participate on Little City committees.
20. Represent Little City ChildBridge Center for Education on IAPSEC.
21. Act as “district coordinator” for all standardized state testing.
22. Lead the review, evaluation, and selection curricula materials.
23. Lead the continuous school quality improvement process.
24. Develop school policies, procedures, and processes in collaboration with school and agency leadership.
25. Provide mentoring and leadership support in conjunction with other members of school leadership to teachers, paraprofessionals,                  related  service staff, and therapy program staff.
26. Conduct classroom observations as a part of the school improvement and staff development process.
27. Evaluate teaching staff, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and therapy program staff with the assistance of school leadership.
28. Develop, coordinate, and implement staff professional development and in-service trainings.
29. Monitor and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations. Including development and monitoring of outcomes,                            programmatic goals, and school improvement plans.
30. Other school related duties as assigned.
31. Work collaboratively within a team environment.
32. Successfully completes Little City required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City policies and                      practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.
