Principal JobID: 11565 + Position Type: Administrator/Principal/Director/ High School Principal + Date Posted: 1/22/2025 + Location: North High School    The Davenport Community School District is an EEO/AA employer. Salary is dependent upon education and experience (minimum salary is $144,000) Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) + Develops and administers school programs consistent with district goals and objectives. + Provides leadership and direction to staff with regard to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs, including curricular and extracurricular activities. + Oversees the development of the master schedule development, student scheduling, IEPs, etc. + Ensures board policies and procedures are implemented and followed within the school. + Supervises and evaluates staff in accordance with the district’s evaluation process, and makes recommendations regarding goals, areas of improvement and continued employment. + Leads the successful implementation and sustainability of Collaborative Teacher Teams (CTTs). + Manages the school’s budget and oversees all expenditures. + Oversees the daily operations and provides leadership for meeting the day-to-day needs of the building. + Establishes and coordinates security procedures for students, staff, and visitors. + Collects, maintains, generates and analyzes student data including attendance, behavior, academic data and records required by law. + Provides crisis intervention including deescalation when needed. + Performs hallway, buildings, grounds and cafeteria supervision duties. + Promotes the positive image of the school and celebrates the achievements of students and staff. + Communicates effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and other stakeholders on a regular basis. + Builds and maintains a rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each student reaches their full potential. + Leads and supports PBIS, ensures strategic interventions and monitoring to support student behavior. + Supports and implements DCSD’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for behaviors and academics.. + Responsible for the safety, well-being and work output of students. + Other duties as assigned. Special Qualification Desired: (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.) + Master’s degree in secondary school administration. + Evaluator Certification. + A minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience and/or building leadership experience required. + Secondary teaching and extracurricular duties experience.
