In this vital role you will own the deployment and optimization of NLP models in production environments while ensuring high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation. You will monitor model performance, collaborate with security and compliance teams, and drive AI/ML solutions that adhere to ethical and regulatory standards. As a leader, you will mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of innovation, and contribute to continuous improvement across the AI/ML team. If you're ready to make a real-world impact with AI, join us! **Responsibilities** + Lead the development and implementation of state-of-the-art NLP models and algorithms to address complex business challenges + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and senior leaders, to define and prioritize AI/ML initiatives + Drive the integration of NLP solutions into existing systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and accessibility of heterogeneous data sources + Stay updated on the latest advancements in NLP and AI/ML technologies and incorporate them into the company's strategy + Present findings, project updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders + Performance metrics and evaluation reports: benchmarking, bias and fairness assessments, A/B testing results for NLP model effectiveness + AI strategy and roadmaps: AI/NLP strategy documents aligned with business goals, technology roadmaps for future AI improvements, and investment recommendations + asdfaws **What we expect of you** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The AI/ML professional we seek is a critical thinker with these qualifications. **Basic Qualifications:** + Doctorate degree and 2 years of AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience **Or** + Master’s degree and 4 years of AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience **Or** + Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience **Or** + Associate’s degree and 10 years of AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience **Or** + High school diploma / GED and 12 years of AI, machine learning, and/or data science experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Natural Language Processing, or a related field. + 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing + Proven track record of leading and delivering successful NLP projects in a senior engineering role + Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and experience with NLP frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or spaCy + Strong understanding of linguistic principles, text preprocessing techniques, and model evaluation metrics + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional senior leaders + Proven experience building and deploying NLP models in production environments. + Strong understanding of transformers, LLMs (GPT, BERT, T5, etc.). + Experience with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques. + Knowledge of embeddings, attention mechanisms, and generative models. + Expertise in text classification, named entity recognition (NER), sentiment analysis, summarization, and question answering. + Experience with multimodal NLP, speech-to-text, or conversational AI is a plus. **What you can expect of us** As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
