As a Principal Analyst, Data at T-Mobile, you will play a critical role in transforming how we manage demand, capacity, and prioritization across the enterprise. Your primary responsibility will be to measure existing metrics, identify gaps in tracking and analysis, and propose innovative systems and processes to enhance visibility and accuracy. By implementing scalable solutions, you will enable better alignment with T-Mobile’s strategic goals and drive data-informed decision-making.

This role requires expertise in data analytics, metric frameworks, and process optimization, combined with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams with strong understanding of business processes and financial metrics. You will directly influence operational efficiency and resource management by ensuring the right metrics are measured, tracked, and actionable.

Job Responsibilities:

Measures and evaluates key metrics related to demand, capacity, and prioritization to inform strategic decisions.Designs and implements frameworks/tools to align metrics with T-Mobile’s strategic goals and operational efficiency.Identifies gaps in metric tracking and proposes scalable tools and processes to enhance measurement accuracyCommunicates actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and presentationsSupports the optimization of resource allocation and prioritization using data driven insightsLeads and mentors junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and developmentAlso responsible for other duties and projects as assigned by business leadership as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Data Science or Related Field (required)

Master's/Advanced Degree Data Science or Business Analysis (preferred)

Work Experience:

4+ years' Experience with big data architecture and pipeline, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka7+ years' Experience working with relational databases using SQL and data querying, cleaning, wrangling, working with common relational and non-relational databases in big data environments such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud7+ years' Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using data7+ years' Experience working with Python or R programming for data analysis and automation.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and present findings and recommendations to Senior Management.Strategy Implementation: Ability to apply data analysis to real-world business situations.Executive Support: Proven ability to work effectively with Senior and Executive level management.Relational Databases: Knowledge of relational database, data modeling, systems design and integration.Wireless industry experience.Financial Reporting Financial reporting experience.Project Management Project Management experience.Software Development Software development experience.Enterprise Software Experience with enterprise software applications (POS, CRM, SAP, Content Management Publishing, Billing Systems).

Licenses and Certifications:

Certified Analytics Professional (CAP): Certification that demonstrates proficiency in data analytics and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. (Preferred)SnowPro Advanced: Data Analyst: Certification that validates the ability to work with big data environments and conduct advanced data analysis. (Preferred)CompTIA Data Analytics Plus certification: Certification that validates the ability to analyze, validate, and present data in a meaningful way. (Preferred)Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate: Certification that demonstrates proficiency in using Power BI for data analysis and visualization. (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $104,300 - $188,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
