This person should have a deep understanding of what it means to run an operational organization supporting millions of customers, and the accountability that comes with it. This team will balance the demand of on-call responsibilities and constant adjustment to adversaries with product innovation, team career growth, and work life balance. Other + Embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) **Qualifications** **Required/Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) + OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) + OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ year(s) people management experience. + 3+ years combined experience in data science and/or engineering - demonstrating foundational knowledge of both data science and ML (Machine Learning) operations + 3+ years experience in shipping and supporting large-scale computing data science products, features, or content. **Other Requirements** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications** + 3+ years experience with fraud/security + Experience designing and executing on secure initiatives for ML (Machine Learning) Ops (Operations) and research tooling + Experience with developing generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) in a COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) efficient manner + Experience working across multiple product teams to deliver combined innovations and features. + Experience representing innovative work across the greater organization and/or the industry + Experience translating complex business problems into prioritized, results-driven team objectives + Able to deliver impact through collaborative work across organizational boundaries. + Able to positively influence organizational culture and attract and retain great people. + Able to work in an agile environment balancing committed work with emerging innovative solutions Applied Sciences M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
