Job Description:

In this leadership role you will drive the Data Strategy for Workplace Investing division of Fidelity investments. You will work with Enterprise Architects to come-up with the strategy to support cloud-based modernization of legacy digital applications along with many other leading-edge initiatives.  You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define the appropriate architecture direction.

The Expertise You Have

Education – BS or MS required.10+ years of experience working with Data and DatabasesExperience architecting large complex systems with high volume and high-performance requirementsWork collaboratively with Enterprise Architects across business units to create one Fidelity Architecture StrategyWork with Fidelity Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure safe and secure treatment of our enterprise, client, and customer data in public cloudHave a good understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts and experience with Multi-Tier Architecture designsHand-On Experience with AWS is highly desired

The Skills You Bring

Ability to formulate Data Strategy, Conceptual Architecture, Business Architecture and work with development teams to execute the strategyExcellent analytical and critical reasoning skills are a must for decomposing complicated tech stacksExcellent understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies and experience with event driven architectureUnderstanding of Cloud Database technologies like Yugabyte, CockroackDB is a plusExperience OR Understanding of GraphQL highly desiredExperience with complex migration, refactoring and decommission projects is highly desiredExperience in various Data Access patterns, Data Abstraction is requiredExperience and knowledge on Data Modelling is highly desired and the ability to work with the Data Modelling teamsExperience with programming languages like Java, Python, Spark a plusExperience with data management practice including data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data qualityUnderstanding of traditional RDBMS technologies like Oracle, Sybase ASE, Postgres a mustStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
