The anticipated salary range for this role is between $166,000.00 and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

**SUMMARY:**
We are looking for a candidate with a proven background providing architecture strategy and solutions to complex problems across many domains - leveraging a modern cloud-based technology stack. The candidate will collaborate across engineering, technology/business architecture and product to provide optimized and aligned architecture decisions. A leadership track record and excellent communication and presentation skills are also key for this position.
**PRINCIAPL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Define conceptual approaches and provide solutions architecture across functional domains (i.e. marketing, fraud, card, etc.) and specific projects and programs
+ Ability to understands overall deposit, credit and payments domains and provide industry best solutions in a hybrid environment (internally developed and partner)
+ Verifies stability, inter-operability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture
+ Identifying and championing the creation and use of common services, components and platforms
+ Partner with the other Engineering and Product Heads to successfully deliver platform capabilities from design to production
+ Provide required integration with broader SMBC bank holding company architectural governance practices
+ Work closely with other architects and engineers to recommend and design solutions that meet customer needs
+ Work with product engineering to conduct proofs of concept, demonstrations, and implement solutions into production
+ Work with application teams to understand their functions and needs, and design solutions to enable end to end integration
+ Engage with domain-level product and business resources to define strategy and future-state architecture for assigned domains
+ Lead and mentor the engineering team on design, technology, and best practices for technology platforms
**POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:**
+ Demonstrated experience in end-to-end architecture for credit card products – including key vendor integrations, back-end functions (risk, fraud, collections) and marketing/offers/rewards implementations
+ 9+ years of experience in Financial Services or Financial Technology (FinTech) field – particularly in Consumer Banking (deposits, loans, checking, credit card)
+ 6+ years of experience in Solution Architecture (project/program and domain-level)
+ 9+ years of hands-on software development experience
+ Experience with architecting omnichannel digital customer experiences across mobile and web channels
+ Experience with omnichannel, orchestration and aggregation technologies like Graph QL, API Gateway and other middleware technologies
+ Expertise with modern, agile-based application development methodologies and emerging technologies like microservices, API management, web-scale architectures, container-based delivery, cloud automation, TDD, BDD, continuous integration (CI), and CD.
+ Proven experience with software development of highly available enterprise-level multi-tier applications and services utilizing tools and technologies including Kubernetes, distributed ledgers, java, and various databases in the cloud.
+ Experience of cloud-based infrastructures – particularly Azure and GCP
+ Experience with mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin), web (React, Angular, Node, Java Script), Kotlin/Java technology stack
+ Experience with advanced data platforms, tools, and practices – particularly leveraging GCP cloud
+ Experience with high availability, fault tolerance, performance testing, and tuning parameters
+ Good verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills
+ Experienced in producing detailed technical design documentation
+ Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs
+ Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
