As Principal Architect and Engineer, you will apply your deep technology expertise and understanding of the business to help shape enterprise technology strategy and lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise technology solutions. You will work closely with other principals and senior strategic leaders to drive alignment with overall enterprise business and technology strategy and will guide engineering organizations to continually improve engineering practices and implementation outcomes.

Be the primary domain expert and lead technical strategist for API development, platforms, and developer tools.Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers in the development of enterprise software services and developer tools that enable and scale execution of a larger overall technology strategyYou will cater to adoption and operationalization of technical platforms and tools.Define and oversee engineering practice and maturity for a team of software and platform engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality and sustainable software and platform solutions.Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance, and secure platforms, with an emphasis on cloud-native solutions.Partner with senior leadership, engineering teams, and product managers to make key architectural decisions, ensuring technical feasibility and scalability.Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and evaluate their potential to impact our technology stack and overall architecture.Champion delivery excellence the adoption of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.Ensure adherence to standards, patterns, data privacy regulations, and best practices across all systems and platforms.Collaborate with enterprise architects to define standards and design patterns.Lead and/or contribute to the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise technologies.Publish strategic roadmaps, white papers and engage peer architects in forming strategies for solving key business and technology imperatives.Able to present and articulate strategic initiatives to executive leadersAdvocate and practitioner of delivery excellenceParticipate in talent development and recruiting.You Have
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.15+ years of professional software development, architecture, and software-delivery experienceExpertise with service-oriented, cloud native, and modernization architectures and patternsCompetency with a broad range of technologies including Java, Node.js, .NET/C#, Python, JavaScript, JSON schema design, event-driven, pub-sub, API (GraphQL, REST, gRPC etc.), Database (Relational and/or non -relational)Competency with a broad range of web technologies including React, AngularCompetency with a broad range of dev ops technologies including IAC (Terraform), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD Automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)Strong understanding and practitioner of software delivery, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts and technologiesExperience with cloud technologies and services, preferably AWSProven ability to grow and mentor developers at all levels and in different technologiesProven track record of developing and operating large scale business critical systemsCompetency with secure programming practices, software delivery, and cloud security principlesThe ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business and executive stakeholdersThe ability to accelerate impact and lead change, create business case and associated financialsThe ability to participate and respond to technology auditsPreferred Qualification:

Two days a week at a Guardian office in Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, Pa, New York, NY or Holmdel, NJSalary Range$146,010.00 - $239,880.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
