Principal Associate, Project Management - Decisioning Platform (Hybrid)
West Creek 1 (12071), United States of America, Richmond, Virginia Principal Associate, Project Management - Decisioning Platform (Hybrid) The Principal Project Manager will sit horizontally and be responsible for supporting the multiple platforms and teams as the Testing and Release manager within the Decisioning Platform team in US Card. Responsibilities include tracking and management of intent build, testing expectations & timelines, release tracking and good governance and well managed activities across the process. This role partners closely with product peers, technology and the other program teams coordinating well-managed deliveries across multiple functions and lines of business. General Responsibilities: + Manage the Testing and Release process for all build work happening within the Decisioning Platform, coordinating across job disciplines and multiple partner organizations + Maintain a governance model to manage the testing and release process to include prioritization of most critical initiatives, managing dependencies, risks and deadlines + Manage small-medium scale program deliveries that impact the Decisioning Platform + Collaborate with all levels of the organization to monitor and manage the critical path, plan contingencies, facilitate scope changes, and control resource expenditure + Report on feature delivery progress, specifically focused on testing and release including managing escalations and impediment resolution + Build and maintain high trust relationships with partner teams across the Enterprise to keep abreast of current strategies and manage work in progress + Align to appropriate Jira data management and best practices specifically around tagging and tracking as well as ensuring good governance and reporting of issues and work + Exposure to influencing senior level stakeholders Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree + 3+ years of Project Management experience Preferred Qualifications: + Master’s degree or an advanced certifications (PMP, BPM, CSM, CPO, SAFE) + 4+ years of experience in program, portfolio or product management + 2+ years experience in financial services and the consumer credit card industry + 2+ years experience with technology or software delivery + Google and/or JIRA experience This role is **_hybrid_** meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) **in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting** . **_Monday_** and **_Fridays_** are enterprise- wide **_virtual work days_** **.** **_Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday_** are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas. **At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.** Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
