Principal Benefits Consultant (US)Job Description:
Location: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week in our Puerto Rico office.
The Principal Benefits Consultant is responsible for managing benefit program initiatives and projects in Puerto Rico (i.e., benefit design, process improvements, M&A activity).
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains and analyzes various types of benefits information.Analyzes equity of current benefits compared to trends and legislated requirements.Monitors plan costs and identifies problem areas.Gathers data and participates in the analysis of employee benefits issues and trends.Conducts and participates in benefits surveys.Analyzes results to determine their impact.Assists in the design and implementation benefit plans, programs, and procedures.May be responsible for conducting special studies, preparation of associate communications materials, and training of HR Solutions and local HR staff.Drafts benefit plan administrative procedures and communications materials.Makes recommendations to offer cost effective and competitive employee benefits.May present recommendations for change or enhancements to benefit offerings to management.May lead other staff members in implementation and administration of company benefit programs.Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA and a minimum of 5 years of benefits experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Strong knowledge of applicable benefit laws and regulations in Puerto Rico preferred.Job Level:
