Principal Compliance Lead

As a Principal Compliance Lead, you provide compliance expertise to support Capital Group’s financial transactions. You will partner closely with Capital Group attorneys and interface with internal stakeholders and external law firms to facilitate the transaction process. You are comfortable operating with tight deadlines and can effectively identify and communicate distinctive aspects of each transaction and provide thought leadership to resolve issues.

To thrive in this role, you have experience as a paralegal supporting capital markets, M&A or other financial transactions and asset management industry experience.

You are an experienced paralegal or compliance professional with extensive background and experience in securities transactions and/or M&A. Fixed income and/or derivative experience is a plus.You pride yourself on building meaningful relationships and establishing trust.You take initiative by identifying issues, performing complex analytics, and sharing recommendations on complex and broad matters.You possess strong written and oral communications skills enabling you to engage with a diverse group of associates, senior business leaders and a diverse group of individuals outside the organization.You demonstrate sound judgment, nimble learning, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to deal with ambiguity to resolve matters of high complexity.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $173,211-$277,138

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
