Summary:
The Principal, Org Development and Change Management is responsible for leading and managing initiatives that drive organizational change and development. This role focuses on designing and implementing strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness, partner engagement, and adaptability to change.
The position will work closely with leadership and project teams and ultimately engage with the entire organization to ensure successful adoption of new processes, structures, and technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Change Management:
• Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to ensure successful adoption of new initiatives.
• Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Create communication plans to convey the case for change and progress of change initiatives.
• Design and deliver training programs to support partners through transitions.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of change management activities, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Build change management capabilities within Petco.
Organizational Development:
• Assess organizational needs and influence/recommend programs to improve performance and partner satisfaction.
• Conduct organizational assessments and surveys to gather data on partner engagement and organizational health
(including Voice of Partner).
• Advise leadership on organizational design, structure, and strategy to align with business goals.
Project Management:
• Lead and manage multiple change and development projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations on change and organizational development.
• Facilitate focus groups, workshops, and meetings to gather input and feedback from partners at all levels (Listening Sessions)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, AIM, CCMP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing change initiatives.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
