Northrop Grumman's Sensing & Secure Solutions Operating Unit is actively seeking a talented System Engineering expert to join a Northrop Grumman primed program. This position's work location is in Annapolis Junction Maryland and is part of the Mission Systems Sector within Northrop Grumman. The new team member will be designing and developing new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. We are seeking a person who is capable of performing Model Based System Engineering and also performing as a Product Owner of an Agile Development team, responsible for System design efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and demonstrating knowledge/experience of the latest System Engineering techniques to model system design driving Software Development efforts.  

  

The Product Owner / System Engineer is responsible for defining the work that the agile development team performs, ensuring that the product meets the defined requirements of the capability, performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. 

  

Basic Qualifications: 

- A current and active TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph though our MD Customer is required to start. Latest Polygraph must be less than 5 years old. 

- BS + 5 years of exp; MS + 3 years of exp; PhD + 1 years of exp is required. 

- Experience with SysML and Model based system Engineering concepts. 

- Experience with designing and developing new systems using Model Based System Engineering tools including CAMEO . 

- Proven disciplined System Engineering experience with requirement-driven design through formal V&V.   

- Experience working in Agile (SAFe) environments. 

- Experience working with Software Development teams utilizing MBSE artifacts to drive Software Development. 

- An ability to interface with external entities is preferred. 

- Demonstrated technical leadership experience is highly preferred. 

  

Preferred Qualifications:  

- Experience with Business Development Efforts is highly desired.

- Experience with Capture and Proposal activities is highly desired.

- Experience as a Agile Team Product Owner or ScrumMaster.

Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $177,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
