As Principal Data Analyst, you will join a newly established team within OptumRx responsible for delivering a comprehensive Rebate Billing analytics strategy. The Principal Data Analyst is essential for building relationships with our business and analytics partners across many OptumRx functions, including Manufacturer Billing, Finance, Industry Relations, Rebate Analytics, and Client Management teams. Working alongside the Rebate Billing Analytics Team you’ll have the opportunity to will provide analytics and insights related to Rebate Billing trends and activities, support process improvements to optimize billing operations and identify opportunities to drive incremental value for OptumRx and our clients. **Primary Responsibilities of the Principal Data Analyst:**
• Develop reports and analytics that analyze Rebate trends and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to drive incremental rebate revenue.
• Leverage analytics to identify quality issues and drive to solutions.
• Build relationships with related functions to ensure clear, two-way communications channel.
• Identify challenges and opportunities and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
• Anticipate future requirements and design / implement solutions to meet these.
• Perform analytics in line with organizational best practice, ensuring cross functional alignment on methodologies.

**Required Qualifications of the Principal Data Analyst:**
• Experience in Data Analytics / Finance / Business intelligence roles or similar.
• Experience in working with and analyzing financial data to develop business insight and strategy.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex analytic results into meaningful insight, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand.
• The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin or Letterkenny office is required.
**Preferred Qualifications of the Principal Data Analyst:**
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering)
• Experience in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management
• Experience querying complex datasets using SQL or similar,
• Experience creating visualizations using Tableau or similar,
• Experience in MS Azure
