Summary: The Principal Data Engineer position will provide comprehensive data management and technical support for research teams using various systems, including REDCap, Epic, OnCore, and Florence. This role will be integral in ensuring accurate data collection, storage, and analysis across clinical research projects, enabling research and clinical teams to access actionable insights to support medical research, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives. The role will serve as the primary technical liaison between research teams and IT resources, offering technical support, guidance, and troubleshooting. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s or PhD preferred. Licensure/Certification: Epic certification a plus, but not required. Experience: 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering scalable data solutions and leading engineering teams. Previous experience with system administration and familiarity with SQL writing are required. Experience with clinical research and medical system experience highly preferred.
