TITLE: Principal Data Engineer II
DUTIES: Work as part of a team responsible for hardware development of residential and enterprise routers, which includes managing device and component vendors. Lead the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines and infrastructure to support hardware certification, Wi Fi testing, and QA testing. Collaborate with team to develop data acquisition strategies and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of the data being collected. Use Python and Scala to oversee and develop data models, ETL processes, and visualizations to support Wi-Fi testing and Wi-Fi test automation. Utilize Spark for data processing. Work with PostgresSQL and cloud computing on Amazon Web Services. Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on data-related matters, such as data architecture and data engineering best practices. Mentor and coach team members to help develop technical skills. Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for using data to drive business outcomes, such as improving customer satisfaction, reducing churn, and increasing revenue.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 8 years of experience designing or implementing data pipelines and infrastructure; big data technologies, including Spark; working with wide range of data warehouses and either PostgreSQL, Athena, Redshift, RDS, MySQL, DynamoDB databases. 5 years of experience building ETL Pipelines using Python or Scala. 4 years of experience in cloud computing using Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud. A hybrid and remote work arrangement is available.
SALARY: $169,187 - $220,000 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The base pay for this position generally is between $169,187.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
