This is a full-time role. **Job Responsibilities:** • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Databricks deployed on AWS at an enterprise-scale. • Build integrations with AWS services, Azure and On Premise and Co-located data centers and additional applications including GitlLab, SAS, R Studio, SPSS, ArcGIS, Tableau, PowerBI, Box, Blaise, and Westat custom-build applications. • Monitor and optimize the cost, performance and scalability of data products and infrastructure. • Automate and manage provisioning needs, such as Databricks Cluster Policies, Unity Catalog, Secrets Management, Role Based Access Control model and permissions. • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting as well as support for change management, governance. compliance, internal audits and remediations. • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, including data product interfaces, data contracts, and governance frameworks. • Create repeatable processes for onboarding new projects and solutions and deploying upgrades and enhancements. • Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data quality and compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and other industry and regulatory standards. **Basic Qualifications:** • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This includes a minimum of three years of experience working intensively in Databricks. • Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts, at least one Professional-level Databricks Certification and Databricks AWS Platform Architect Accreditation and Platform Administrator Accreditations. • A proven track record of administration, engineering, and operationalizing the Databricks platform in a production mode at scale for Data Engineering and Data Science use cases. • Experience with data governance, security, and industry and regulatory compliance best practices. • Experience as a Data Management Architect or similar role in an enterprise environment. • Experience with managing AWS environment using both the console and infrastructure as code. **Preferred Qualifications:** • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data processing and analysis. • AWS Solutions Architect or Data Engineer Certifications. • Experience working in Federal government or as a public sector contractor • Public Trust level Security Clearance Westat offers a well-rounded and comprehensive benefits program focused on wellness and work/life balance.
