POSITION SUMMARY

The Principal Development Engineer - Backend includes closely working with a team of engineers to drive delivery excellence, partner with business and other IT leaders to build digital assets, provide expert level support to resolve complex issues and provide RCA, identify gaps in systems in current digital eco system and provide solutions to enhance overall performance. All of this is critical to driving Digital growth and improving customer experience. This individual will collaborate with digital leaders, business partners, and IT colleagues to deliver business growth and great customer experiences that differentiate CVS in the market, while ensuring efficient, effective, and safe product development.
What we Expect of You:

10+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development, preferably within an e-commerce environment10+ years of experience serving as a Technical Lead of large software development teams5+ years of development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, SpringBoot, Search, NoSQL and/or Kafka5+ years of experience within an Agile software development3+ years of experience building Enterprise solutions and managing client requirements and technical solutions3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies; possess a track record developing in GCP/Azure or similar public cloud environment2+ years of experience in a DevOps role working with various technologies like Kubernetes, Argo, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory2+ years of CI/CD Pipeline automation experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
