Role description:
Off the back of major project wins and a growing pipeline of work, Arcadis is seeking a suitably qualified applicant, experienced with power utility and road lighting projects for our Melbourne business. Suitable candidates will be experienced in VIC utility standards, road authority standards, relevant Australian standards and be comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They must be growth focused and bring with them an attitude to build and engage with clients.

Role accountabilities:
Preparing & managing electrical packages from scope stage to final IFC submission. Effective liaison with VIC power utilities and clients at every stage of the design. Knowledge of VESI design frameworks and local utility design experience. Coordinating with various project disciplines and stakeholders. Preparing & leading electrical design packages including electrical relocation, URD and Supply upgrade projects for major clients including state projects. Preparing & leading road lighting design packages focused around VESI lighting. Taking ownership of various project and design deliverables. Preparing reports, proposals and presentations for internal and external clients. Support the team members with design queries and make decisions regarding the design including guiding & mentoring of young engineers. Complete site inspections and collect relevant design data as required; Engaging in weekly project update meetings;Qualifications & Experience:
Strong VESI (Victorian Electricity Supply Industry) experience across overhead and underground designs as well as VIC utilities or asset relocation projects Chartered Status including PREV, NER & CPEng. Relevant higher education qualification in electrical engineering Extensive experience in VIC Utility electrical designs such as overhead & underground networks, asset relocations, supply upgrades, URD & Public Lighting. Detailed knowledge of Electrical distribution networks from low voltage to sub-transmission level of 66kV. Detailed knowledge of electrical distribution design and relevant Australian standards. Working knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to private electrical designs/ wring rules and lighting (AS3000 & AS1158). Current Australian Electricity Supply Industry (ESI Worker) card. Ability to check, comment and approve distribution drawings for construction purposes. Project management skills including construction support and construction management., Current PM2/ PMC status with Vic utilities will be highly preferred. Software skills –Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AGI32, Perfect Lite.Why Become an Arcadian?
