Job Description

Due to ongoing growth of the team, our Brisbane Building Services Team are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. This presents a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects across Healthcare, Defence, Industrial, Transport, Infrastructure and the 2032 Olympics.

What will a day in this role look like:

Gain exposure to client management and further develop your design / project management skills by acting as Electrical Lead on  a variety of projects.Review and sign off on electrical design documentation of Electrical Building Services including electrical power distribution and reticulation systems, lighting (incl. emergency) design, standby power generation (incl. renewable-type, UPS and Generator) and lightning protection.Work on a variety of interesting projects across the full project lifecycle; from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support across an array of sectorsMentor junior engineers, assisting them with their professional development whilst working closely with other design disciplines in project teams.Provide assistance and contribute technically to the development of engineering proposals across bids and tenders across major projects with our Building Services Group. 

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

Proven, relevant experience working on building services projects as a Senior Electrical Engineer with solid design experience.Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree with (ideally) 10 + years’ experience for a consultancy or contractor.Knowledge of Australian electrical engineering design standards, codes and practices including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1680, AS/NZS 2293 and the BCA.Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, PowerCAD, Bluebeam/Adobe) and preferred experience with AGI 32 and RevitExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.Australian Citizenship and RPEQ (highly desirable).
