Glide Phase Interceptor - Principal Electrical Engineer Seeker Modeling and Simulation Engineer Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer Seeker Modeling and Simulation Engineer - Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI) team at our Chandler, AZ facility.GPI is a new development product offering exciting opportunities and unique problem-solving challenges.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test supportDevelop and implement modeling solutions, conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performanceDeploy EO phenomenology and advanced physics concepts in a software implementationResearch and develop novel EO modeling solutionsCollaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) and other department personnel to perform simulation activitiesProvide technical expertise for the simulation products of GPI, assist other Modeling Engineers in the preparation of detailed plans, and interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation productsWork in a team environment, leading efforts specific to modelling & simulation and supporting additional, varied program effortsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years' experience and or a Masters degree with 2 years of experience.Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceExperience applying object-oriented software design, programming in C or C++, and MatlabExperience developing or simulating physical systemsExperience in Electro-Optics (EO), imaging EO/IR systems, energy transport, signal processing or discrimination algorithmsDesired QualificationsAdvanced Degree in STEMExperience developing signal processing and GNC algorithms or models for missile applications, signal and image processing, digital communicationsExperience with hardware/software integration and modeling physics and physical systemsExperience with software change management tools and processes and real-time programmingFamiliarity with Software and Firmware development processesActive Clearance

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
