Contributes to the design of detailed solution and executes predefined work packages.We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Senior Technician to join our team in developing cutting edge cancer therapy medical devices.
As part of the team, you will get the chance to test your skills in many areas as you work with the R&D engineering team on new product development activities. This individual will support all phases of new platform development ranging from concept and technology development through commercialization and post-market support.

Responsibilities and activities include:
Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and disposables, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment.Work from schematics, diagrams, drawings, solid models, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting functionsConduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research workPerform operational test and fault isolation on systems, equipment and assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctionsAssist in the design, construction and testing of test equipment and in developing manufacturing processes for disposable devices such as but not limited to adhesive bonding, soldering, small part assembly, etc.Use manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment including but not limited to such equipment as oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatusGenerate and release documentation through product development per document control proceduresEnsure required training is in compliance, including appropriate test methods and standardsAssist in defining test protocols, performs the experiments, documents the results in accordance with good laboratory practices and analyzes the resultsFabricate and debugs electronic and mechanical test and assembly fixtures under the direction of a supervising engineerAble to train other Technicians on basic and complex assembly and/or test instructionLook for opportunities to develop and improve existing assembly steps and processesAssist Engineers in development and generation of test specifications and aid manufacturing on training of assembly and product testing proceduresMentor, train and coordinate the work of techniciansTo succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Associates degree, High school diploma or equivalent required10+ years of relevant experienceKnowledge of machining/prototyping – CNC/3D printing is preferredComfortable working with test equipmentKnowledge of SolidWorks and other advanced computer software programsMedical Device industry experience is preferredExperience working with micro-scopes and miniature components is a plusThe pay range for this position is $86,700.00 - 130,100.00 USD annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay range for this position is
Min $86,700 - Max $130,100Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
