Job Description Managing a team of Senior Engineers responsible for the review/approval of engineering plans for residential subdivision and linear project development in the County, ensuring that plans comply with State and Federal requirements for erosion control and stormwater management, to include the Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP) and Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act, as well as with the Countys Stormwater Management and Water Quality, Floodplain Management, and other applicable ordinances. Conferring with consulting engineers, developers, and contractors. Responding to inquiries or complaints from the public pertaining to erosion control and drainage issues. Developing and enhancing the skills of subordinates and coworkers. Performing other work as required. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering Five years of experience in civil/environmental engineering or closely related field; one year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
