Principal Engineer - Controls Cybersecurity
Job Description SummaryDemonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives in controls cybersecurity.  Integrates and develops cybersecurity processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within cybersecurity.

Roles and Responsibilities

Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long range engineering needs for the development and sustainment of cybersecurity practices with in GE Vernova controls.Provide technical consultation on cybersecurity challenges throughout the business including supplier and field support.Assist team with Technical rigor to develop safe, high quality products while being actively Engaged during the design process of cybersecurity offerings.Lead and provide the key technical direction to large projects with critical business impact.Maintain an active role in developing and defining the state of the art cybersecurity solutions in order to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements and problem resolution in meeting current and future business needs including adherence to schedules and estimated costs.Be actively engaged in the GE Vernova PSIRT process for addressing vulnerabilities in a timely manner.Exercise Curiosity by striving for improved products & processes to support customersProvide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues.Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers using reports, records, and letters.Use knowledge and expertise to market winning proposals in anticipation of business product needs.Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology that gives the business a competitive advantage, as well as protecting the intellectual property rights of the company.Be a Helpful resource to all levels of engineering team and encourage dialogue between all groups


Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer ScienceAt least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacityAt least 4 years working in an OT cybersecurity related role

Desired Characteristics:

Experience with Mark VIe control systemsKnowledge of the GE Vernova Gas Power Controls NPI processesExperience with global cybersecurity regulations as they relate to the power generation industryStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the businessProblem analysis and resolution skills

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $127,900.00 - 213,100.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
