About this role:
Wells Fargo Consumer Technology Architecture team is looking for a Principal Data Architect who is passionate about driving data strategy for Consumer Lending. The Consumer Technology (CT) group plays a major role in influencing and defining the firm wide technology strategy and direction.
The Principal Data Architect will be a passionate technologist, expert in data architecture practice, and has the experience to operate across the enterprise through understanding of available technology and tools. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and possess excellent communication skills, sound judgment and reasoning skills.
In this role, you will:
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education7+ years of architectural design and planning experience5+ years of experience creating data strategies, target state and roadmaps2+ years of experience with architecting data solutions using the data stack one GCP or Azure2+ years of strong understanding of architectural concepts and elements of a modern data stack across the data life cycle and Data Products 2+ years experience consulting, influencing and partnering with business executives, leadership, human resources partners and peersDesired Qualifications:
Certification is preferred in at least one of AWS/Google/Microsoft public cloud vendorsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior managementAbility to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationshipsKnowledge and understanding of applications technology management role including managing applications development and support for multiple systems and business functionsAbility to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolutionAbility to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needsExperience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvementAbility to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processesKnowledge and understanding of home lending or consumer lendingFinancial services industry experienceExperience with PCF/Tanzu or other cloud computing technologiesExtensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an entire line of business or infrastructure sub-domainThe Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification highly preferredExperience in Data Architecture and one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planningJob Expectations:
