The Systems Security Engineering Team (SSE) at Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Principal Digital Verification Engineer to serve as a System Security Hardware Assurance Engineer, Level 3. You will be responsible for helping lead a team of engineers focused on simulation & verification of physical system design efforts, generation of structured requirements, decomposition strategies, and risk mitigations.

Additional Responsibilities include:
Assessment and analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for identified mission-critical functions and critical components.
Support courses of action based on knowledge and experience, initiative, guidance, and established regulations and policies.
Contributes to program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones to for Software & Hardware Assurance.
Organize and conducts studies for various operational initiatives.
Participate in a variety of working groups and customer meetings; ensure communication of risk environment with stakeholders
Review technical security assessments of SSE environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established standards and regulations and recommended mitigation strategies.
Ensure the architecture and design of systems are functional and secure; support the design, development, implementation, and integration of security systems and system components.
Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Masters degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 years of related experience
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in any of the full product life cycles of: ASIC Design, FPGA Design, or RTL Design
Experience in back end ASIC design including synthesis and static timing analysis, place and route, physical verification (LVS/DRC)
Experience with Cadence ASIC toolset e.g., Innovus, Genus, Tempus etc.
Proficiency in HDL (VHDL/Verilog)
Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Bash, or Perl
Knowledge of DFT, scan insertion and ATPG
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Risk Management Framework, Security Controls and STIGs.
Experience with Mirco Service architectures and containerization technologies.
Experience with advanced technology nodes (sub 12nm)
Experience with Global foundries, TSMC or Intel Foundries
Automated build tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Kubernetes).
Experience with SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA)
Knowledge of Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
Familiarity with Linux OS
Knowledge of Computer Architectures and Digital design (Memories, bus standards, microprocessors)
Salary Range: $104,800.00 - $157,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
