About the Role

The Customer Requirements Manager is responsible for collecting, structuring and monitoring the stakeholder requirements during the complete lifecycle processes. This position will define the Requirement Management Process strategy within project, will align to project specific process requirements, and will ensure data maintenance in the Requirements Management tools, and will measure and report the process performance based on defined KPIs.

What You Will Do

Stakeholder (CPM / Customer) managementFirst point of contact for stakeholders (e.g. Functional Owner, Project Leaders, Testers) regarding Requirements Management​Ensure availability of customer requirement specifications for all project stakeholders in defined requirements toolEnsure availability of referenced documents (GCSR, ISOs, Norms, Standards,...)Regular exchange of requirements specifications with the customerEnsure data maintenance in the Requirements Management toolsExchange official RFQ evaluation result (DOORS modules) to the customerRequest technical analysis and estimated effort of requirements from Engineering TeamTrack and report missing analysis informationTrack and report completeness of traceability/linkingSetup and maintain statistics and report regularlyHandling of GCRS document (Norms, Standards,)Analyze and manage change request from a customer or internal. (Store change records and maintain traceability.)Verify quotation from requirement/system perspective.Appropriate escalation of issues to customers and/or internal team to resolve customer issues.Technical Product OwnershipDevelops system specifications (functional and non-functional) based on customer and other stakeholders’ specifications to clearly and concisely capture what is required for the product. Document and maintain product requirement exceptions.Identifies risk level associated with new feature development based on requirements status.Aware of all relevant Federal Standards, industry standards and internal standards and ensures that resulting designs will satisfy these requirements.Drive reuse:  Lead the development of reusable internal requirements, identifying synergies and opportunities for design reuse.Champions problem solving/lessons learned for assigned program(s)/domain(s)Change Request Requirements ManagementResponsible for change control management of the project requirements database.Champion Change Request impact analysis and provides results to appropriate stakeholders.Ensures change requests are implemented in the requirements specifications (once approved)Requirements Open Issues ManagementInterfaces with Functional Owners and other stakeholders to drive resolution of open issues for product specification.Process/ToolsEnsures compliance to ASPICE level 3Champions opportunities and makes recommendations for improvements in tools and processResponsible for developing Requirements strategy for assigned program(s)/domain(s) in compliance with ASPICE. Define the Requirement Management Process strategy within project, align to project specific process requirements (process definition with supplier)Tailor the Requirements management process based on project constraints and prioritiesDefine and Configure the requirements module templates (e.g. IRS, SRS, TRS, etc.)Define, setup and execute the Requirements Elicitation process during RFQ phaseSetup and ensure maintenance of Requirements infrastructure (e.g. system, tool, formal modules, link modules etc.) for the projectOrganize and execute the Requirements management process trainingsSupport and coach on requirements process and tooling questionsResponsible for developing and executing requirements baseline management process for projectAccountable for Requirements metrics targets

What You Need

Expert knowledge of requirements managementGood knowledge of embedded software and systemExcellent knowledge of RFI/RFQ processKnowledge of Requirements Management Tool “Doors Next Generation”, “DOORS”, and Doors exchange mechanismConfiguration management rules and tools especially baseliningKnowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)Strong knowledge on SW and HW architectures and Mobile Wireless Technology (DSPs, ARM, Memories, Multicore processing, WiFi, 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, CDMA, 2G, Bluetooth) and/or Infotainment Technology (Navigation system, Digital TV, ETC system, Drive recorder, Mirroring, rear seat entertainment).Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business.Fluent communication skills in English and JapaneseExperience working with or for a Japanese automotive supplier / carmaker
