We want a creative, highly motivated development leader who can take initiative, have good sense of urgency and is comfortable working in a fast paced, agile environment while enabling team growth and individual performance.The Principal Engineer II position is an expert-level role with established authority in their domain and extensive knowledge across domains ensuring solutions are safe, secure, compliant and reliable. This role leads large and complex design efforts supporting critical projects and solutions while engaging with project and business sponsors defining requirements and objectives of targeted solutions. A Principal Engineer II will also engage in the facilitation of dialogue and large team activities, while ensuring collaboration including with teams outside of their domain. They are able to develop effective presentations and narratives for business stakeholders and IT audiences.Works both independently and as part of a cohesive team to deliver innovative software solutions to customers and business partners.Leads the translation of business requirements into tangible work tasks.Leads and reviews work product of peer developers, QA testers, and business partners to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.Architect, design, create and maintain the full stack (front end and back end) of customer-facing cloud-based applications.Manages relationship with DevOps, Infrastructure and Cloud resources to drive solution requirements.Participate in the creation of new products and prototypes from scratch.Develop front and back-end website/app architecture.Contribute to continuous improvements of the existing product suite.Conduct code reviews.Ensure web products are responsive and optimized for a variety of devices such as low-end mobile phones, desktop.Proactively identify and fix issues to improve backend service scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.Respond to urgent bugs in a timely manner alongside engineers.Follow relevant company procedures and help create and maintain relevant documentation.Actively participate in all aspects of the software engineering process.Lead a team of developers including identifying growth opportunities for them and for the team.
What you'll need:
12+ years’ experience in analyzing, designing, and developing using Microsoft Technologies and .Net framework.12+ years' Full-Stack development using Angular and .Net as Frontend and Backend technologies.Experience working in other UI technologies like React, Node JS, Vue JS.Extensive experience with ASP.NET Web APIs to build Restful APIs.Leadership experience in building applications using .Net MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML and CSS and driving peer review improvements.Mentoring and Performance enablement experience with Junior Developers on the team.Strong relationship management with business and backend shared services teams including infrastructure and cloud engineering teams.Leadership in articulating complex design decisions in simple terms for business and active follow-through in Agile ceremonies including planning, standups, refinements, and retrospectives.8+ years' of experience with IaaS, PaaS and SaaS resources in Azure or AWS cloud technologies.8+ years' of solutioning and designing high available client facing production grade responsive applications.8+ years' of experience using Git, TFS/Azure DevOps for source control / project tracking / build management.10+ years' of experience in Database using SQL Server.Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system.Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Proven ability to learn new technologies and deliver results in an aggressive production environment.Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Must be self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.Work in Scrum/Agile environment to plan and estimate the work at different levels.Cloud Architect certification is a plus.Benefits you’ll love:
