Principal Engineer - Oracle Fusion

A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. Your expertise in managing technical solutions for projects, enhancements, and operations will drive the team's success. Collaboration with the Functional team is crucial. Your skills will help shape innovative cloud architectures that deliver real business transformation, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and innovation across the organization. You will oversee the Oracle software implementation and operational services, maximizing the value of our technology investments through both discrete services and comprehensive solutions. You will manage the overall project strategy, analyze various business solutions, and select the most relevant Oracle tools and techniques to meet specific requirements. This role involves interpreting and reporting outputs, managing day-to-day interactions with Sr Director of Corporate Systems.

What You'll Do:

Lead at least three full-cycle Fusion implementations, designing and implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions (Financials, HCM, and EPM modules). Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and strategies to meet business goals. Guide integration efforts with APIs, web services, and middleware solutions. Ensure security compliance and best practices for cloud-based systems. Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to resolve technical and architectural issues. Provide thought leadership on emerging technology trends and their applications. Create and manage deliverables for “as is” and “to be” system architecture. Manage SLAs with flexible working hours, guiding operations to success with a proactive attitude. Manage a team of DBAs and technical experts. Contribute to established implementation methodologies around RAID logs and other methods to document risks, actions, issues, and dependencies for overall deliveries. Utilize industry-leading practices and Oracle processes in Oracle Financials and Technology products to manage implementation and operational services. Manage all phases of the Waterfall, Lean, and Agile project delivery and software implementation lifecycle to design, develop, test, and implement Oracle solutions. Provide assessments of current legacy systems and business architecture, utilizing gap analysis templates to design Cloud system landscapes. Develop technology strategies to implement best practices and methods for Data Migration, Integration, Reporting, Environment, and Deployment. Assess non-functional requirements and design overall Solution Architecture. Develop design specifications for custom developments and interface with external systems via Cloud Financials and support. Oversee modules including Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Assets, Advanced Collections, Inventory, RecVue, and Vehicle Registration process. Oversee the tracking and reporting of project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery. Communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders. Manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) utilizing Waterfall, Lean, and Agile methodologies.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions. Expertise in modules such as Financials, HCM, and EPM. Strong knowledge of integration techniques, Oracle Fusion APIs, and middleware solutions. Experience with Extensions, Workflows (RICEW) using OIC, standard Oracle APIs, and standard tools. Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps. Knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, and SDLC methodologies. Proficiency in security and compliance best practices for cloud systems. Experience managing vendor relationships and working in multi-partnership environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills, interacting with stakeholders, developers, analysts, users, and vendors. Responsible for leading the software development discipline to address functional gaps in base functionality using Reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions. Hands-on expertise to stay compliant with compliance, audit, and security practices. Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong analytical skills. Ability to resolve problems in a timely and effective manner, involving project managers and executive management as appropriate. High-level computer skills and knowledge in Office 365 environment including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Visio, and SharePoint. Strong command of the Oracle tech stack including Oracle Integration Cloud, BI Publisher, FBDI, and ADFDI Conversion, OCI PaaS, and VBCS. Strong command of ATP, OIC, and Redwood Migration. Practical experience performing integrations between OIC and third-party applications both inbound and outbound - File-based, web service, and XML-based. Knowledge in XSD, WSDL, SOAP, XSLT, and REST. Technical working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Java, XML, JDeveloper, Oracle BI Publisher, APEX, Visual Builder Cloud Service, OIC, Groovy Scripting, FBDI, FAH, and ADW
