A Day in the Life:

The typical day is… atypical. You will be mentoring and leading the engineering team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems or collaborating with POS vendors, or other cross-functional tech teams to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions that enhance customer experience and reduce friction in stores.

You will be applying your strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and passion for innovation in the retail industry to make life better for our sales associates in the stores.

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

Technical Leadership:Lead the engineering team in conceptualizing, designing, developing, and maintaining POS Payments, Client engagement tools with focus on continuous delivery in Agile manner.Oversee the integration of advanced technologies in Stores with the modern Tory Burch platforms hosted in cloud, aiming for continuous improvement and optimization as you will own the end-to-end solution in retail domainProject Delivery:Assessing work estimation for large complex distributed solutions­­, ensuring timely delivery that is aligned with business goals while always working on reducing technical debts, increase throughput of team with automation be defaultBuild data and governance modelsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, for discovery, business analysis and delivering solutions on time.Process Improvement:Influence and Drive changes within Retail organizationContribute to writing standards for Retail/Stores from coding, security and hardware and software lifecycle management.Build code templates, common scripts, automation tooling for standardized technologies.Present and provides inputs for Architecture review board.Data Engineering:Design and maintain scalable architectures to support POS with the standardized data centric platforms for customers, transactions.Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability to drive business decisions.System Optimization:Continuously evaluate and optimize existing systems for efficiency and effectiveness, reducing technical debts and adding automationStay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
 Team Development:Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Contribute to performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback for team members.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and challenges.Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on technical solutions for software and hardware used in stores.Quality Assurance:Ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet business requirements with various types of testing executed.Establish and enforce best practices for integrations design, coding, data management, testing, and deployment across the stores.

To Land This Role:

8+ years of experience in software engineering with focus on data and Retail POS, Payments and relevant hardware.Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fieldProven track record of driving and delivering simple engineering solutions in a complex distributed retail store environment in Agile DevOps mode.Strong knowledge of POS and Payments systems including OS(windows/iOS) Peripherals and hardwareProficiency in a minimum of one modern programming languages, platforms, and technologies such as Java, C#, Python and SQL with strong background of SOAP and Restful API integrations.Experience with Aptos or relevant POS, Payments, Clienteling solutions.Excellent time management skills and a team player.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Retail Fashion industry.Hands-on experience on a major Cloud platform like GCP and its tools for pub sub, services and storage.Expertise in database schemas and modeling, ETL processes.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is 175,000.00 USD - 215,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
