Your role at Baxter:
As a Principal Engineer at Baxter, you will spearhead Sterility Assurance initiatives, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and global manufacturing facilities to ensure the production of sterile, life-saving medical products. In this role, you will act as the Sterility Assurance Project Lead, driving new product development, sustaining product support, and manufacturing facility margin improvement projects.

What you'll be doing:
Coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple Sterility Assurance-related activities with minimal guidanceProvide input for schedules, budget, product requirements, and designSupport regulatory submissionsLiaise with cross-functional project teams and manufacturing facilities to develop validation plans and sterilization parameters for product developmentLead and support product development studiesFacilitate agile Sterility Assurance internal project meetingsCommunicate program status effectively to multi-disciplinary project team members, management, and key stakeholdersProvide support for complex investigations, troubleshooting, and CAPAsEvaluate data/results relative to product requirements, definitions, and program goalsTravel to Baxter manufacturing facilities or suppliers (up to 20% of the time)What you'll bring:
A B.S. in Engineering and 5+ years of related experienceGeneral knowledge of sterilization modalities and regulatory requirements for sterile medical products (Moist Heat, Ethylene Oxide, Radiation [gamma, electron beam, X-ray], Aseptic Processing)The ability to drive complex decision-making and influence courses of action using both written and verbal methodsDesirable skills in designing experiments and drawing meaningful conclusions from data using statistical methods such as descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analyticsEffective cross-functional team operation with minimal guidanceThe ability to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implicationsBaxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
