Role Description

Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together. 

The role sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Role Accountabilities

Preparation of Design Reports, Design calculations, loads and stresses related to different structures. Good command on Excel, Preparation of spreadsheets for design calculation. Supervision and guidance to Junior Engineers on various projects in line with client requirements. Worked on water retaining structures and different concrete structures. Provide design input to CAD/BIM and co-ordinate with CAD staff for preparation of drawings.      Liaison with other team members to produce good design solution as per the best design practice.  Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design. Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments. Compliance of Arcadis business management system. Health & Safety Management.  Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time. Good communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience

Register Civil Engineer MS in Civil Engineering major in Structural Engineering is an advantage Proficiency in software including Staad.Pro, AutoCAD, Tekla, Robot, Mathcad, BIM, etc. Knowledge of relevant structural codes and standards. Experience in structural design of liquid-retaining structures Exceptional presentation and communication skills. Support in developing functional area expertise. Minimum of 15 years’ experience required with extensive understanding of the various Common Data Environment platforms like ACC, BIM 360, ProjectWise. Sound technical knowledge, academically good. Should be an independent problem solver.  Create opportunities to implement new digital approaches on your projects.  Independently develop methodologies and review methodologies developed by junior members of the team.  Coach your team on safe design processes and identify improvements in the wider business.  Ensure management and financial controls are in place across small to medium range projects.  Should take full ownership and make others accountable achieving 100% quality (processes/training/checklists)  Should resolve issues regarding resources/scope/budget.  Should delegate tasks and assign roles to team members to achieve the agreed project and organizational outcomes.  Enforce training objectives where appropriate to achieve organizational goals and objectives.  Ensure that the industry best practices are adopted and implemented on projects  Should play a key role in providing training, mentoring, and continuous feedback to first-time managers.  Collaborate within your team and other teams within GEC as well as regions to deliver.  Ability to leading a team on various projects in line with client requirement.  Should innovate to ensure your projects contribute to sustainable development and quality of life.  Liaison with other team members to produce good design solution as per the best design practice.  Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments.  Compliance of Arcadis business management system.  Drive Health & Safety culture of the business within the team.  Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.  Familiar with US codes, standards, and practices related to Structural Engineering, the Indian, British, Euro codes and/or local code (NSCP) will be added advantage.  Design and analyze structures using software such as Staad.Pro, AutoCAD, Tekla, Robot, Mathcad, Master series, Revit, BIM, etc. Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.
