What is the Enterprise Risk & Resilience group responsible for?

The Enterprise Risk & Resilience (ER&R) team at Franklin Templeton is dedicated to protecting the company against risks, ensuring business continuity, and enabling ourselves to adapt in an ever-changing risk environment. We help identify, assess and manage actual and potential risks that may interfere with Franklin’s strategic objectives and disrupt its operations. The group is also responsible for embedding sound risk management practices and risk culture.

What is the Principal - Enterprise Risk & Resilience responsible for?

As the Principal - Enterprise Risk & Resilience, you will be the primary point of contact and proactive partner to Franklin business leaders and their teams to facilitate, coordinate, manage and support ongoing ER&R related activities embedded in the business. You will be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with ER&R peers and teams for the efficient and effective delivery of ER&R support to the business. Given our global presence, the scope of the role may vary, ranging from projects of low to intermediate complexity, from single line of business to multiple lines of business and geographies.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Principal - Enterprise Risk & Resilience?

Act as primary point person to FT business leaders and their teams for all Enterprise Risk & Resilience related activities.

Coordinate and facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of Enterprise Risk and Resilience services and ongoing support to the business and ongoing improvements.

Lead, facilitate, coordinate and support ongoing Enterprise Risk & Resilience related activities embedded in the business – from initial implementation, through ongoing monitoring and maintenance.

Lead regional crisis and incident planning, testing and response teams; support post testing remediations and actions.   

Support Senior Management and board-level reporting.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience.

8-12 years of related experience, preferably in a global asset management company.

Strong knowledge and understanding of enterprise risk management standards and methodologies (COSO framework, RIMS, etc).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, including building strong relationships and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to adapt to changing business needs and situations and demonstrate flexibility and resilience; strong time management skills to work across multiple disciplines and time zones.

Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $135,000.00 - $165,000.00.
