Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Environmental Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will work as part of a team of experts, supporting various environmental projects, that includes soil, sediment and groundwater remediation, from initial investigations through construction and site closeouts.

What you'll be doing:

Technically focused role, providing leadership on geotechnical, civil and other complex environmental projectsMay function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the groupMay plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit on projects requiring a largescale expenditure of manpower and financial investmentLeads other Engineers and design personnel on environmental projectsEnsures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.Has experience with Landfill DesignHas construction experiencePrepares detailed material/equipment specifications; reviews supplier data; witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.Completes geotechnical and civil evaluationsMaintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.Recommends, prepares and presents technical papers and reports. May review and assist in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 15+ years of related work experience. Master's degree in Engineering strongly preferred. Environmental focus is requiredProfessional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are requiredMust possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
