About the role
We are currently seeking a Principal level Environmental Scientist, Contaminated Land to join our successful Geosciences team where you will provide strategic and practical solutions to clients with environmental management challenges. Reporting to the Contaminated Land Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and building the contaminated land and waste services work stream. This will include actively pursuing contaminated land and waste management projects and contributing to the overall strategic goals of the business unit.

Day to day tasks would involve:
Undertaking preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing site management plans and remediation action plans. Preparation and negotiation of bids and fee proposals. Initiate, plan, lead and execute complex contaminated land/waste projects. Provision of technical oversight to the contaminated land/waste team including staff management. Engaging with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems. Provision of commercial oversight to projects to ensure favourable financial results.To be successful for this role you'll need:
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering/Hydrogeology or Geology Demonstrated 7-15 years’ experience in contaminated land with significant exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations Demonstrates sufficient experience to sign Contaminated Land Investigation Documents as a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) Well-developed report writing skills Strong business acumen to manage projects commercially and to create meaningful relationships with clientsWhat we offer
