The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM) seeks a Principal Financial Analyst to join the Financial Affairs Office, which supports the school’s strategic decision-making and financial operations. DGSOM encompasses 24 academic departments, 5 research units, 8 interdisciplinary centers, 3,400 faculty, 2,900 trainees, and 8,400 staff, with an annual revenue of $3.8B.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner for Research & Education, this role handles month- and year-end close processes, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, audits, and financial reporting. The Principal Financial Analyst collaborates with senior management, department managers, auditors, and accrediting agencies while leading financial planning and analysis for Dean’s Office sales and service programs. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and analyzing financial reports, improving business processes, managing budgets and funds, and using tools like SQL Server and Power BI. The role demands advanced project management, proficiency in financial systems, and expertise in Government and Non-Profit accounting. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reporting, detail-oriented analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should be proactive, flexible, and capable of managing multiple projects effectively.

Annual Salary Range: $92,600.00 – $202,200.00
